Averaging about fifteen inches in length, the Blue-Fronted Amazon is primarily green in color, with green feathers that have darker green edges. The Blue-Fronted Amazon has a bright blue forehead and blue and white feathers that often appear on the crown. They have vibrant yellow markings on their ears, cheeks and crown. Their wings are often either red or red and yellow. They are excellant talkers and love to entertain. Average lifespan is about 60 years.

Clover is a clown! From the day we bought her she has done nothing but make us smile. She flew early - at only 6 weeks of age...and her best friend in the world is Simone, a Blue & Gold Macaw. Clover is gorgeous. The entire top of her head is a very vibrant teal blue with splashes through-out the yellow on the sides of her face!

She weaned fully in July and began a full-time diet of Zupreme pellets, nuts, fresh fruits & veggies, pasta, and grains. Her very favorite food in the world is Macaroni and Cheese. She can smell boiling water a mile away and will show up in the kitchen shortly after you put the pan on the stove. Anytime we ask Simone to step-up, Clover will say "Ow! No BITE!" (Simone "pinches" your skin accidently with her beak when grabbing your clothes.)

Like most Amazons, Clover doesn't care to be touched - but will gladly step-up and get kisses. She will tolerate a stroke down her back if you absolutely must - but gives you a "hurry up" look while you do it. She has a large sleep cage - 40" x 32" x 40" - but spends her days playing in the bird room with her friends. She enjoys spending time outdoors in the aviary, car rides, talking and biting off Simone's tail feathers!
